Krys has not changed or checked the tranny fluid for 3 years. big oops
Saturday it broke down 60 miles from home. let it rest for 60 minutes, and was able to get it up and running and drove it 20 minutes before it seized. got a flatbed tow truck and hauled it home.
MONDAY: picked up a nice nice tranny at a wrecking yard, wrong speedometer gear, damn.
TUESDAY: went back to get them to take the crank shaft or whatever out of that one and put it in the old bell housing.
WEDNESDAY: went back to pick up today. had not left the initial wrecking yard.
went to a different wrecking yard, said they could pull it out in 20, 1 hour and 10 minutes later, FINALLY got it loaded in the trunk.
went to O'Reilly's to get transmission fluid, first they gave me 80/90 and then automatic transmission fluid. it was just a mess.
now we still need to install a new U-joint. and then it is done.
